Tell Me Your Personal Image Goals

Goal setting isn’t something to casually do like deciding where to have lunch. It’s better to evaluate how you’d like to improve your life, then set reasonable and measurable goals.

It’s one thing to know that you want to do something different about the way you look, like getting a haircut you need.  But what if you considered updating your hairstyle so it conveyed messages about you that helped you reach goals beyond just getting a haircut?  That would be one heck of a haircut.

So how do you set image goals?  Review these questions to determine what you want more of this year. If a question doesn’t trigger a yes answer, it is not a goal of yours.  Rank your top two YES answers.  If you have just one, or more than two answers, it’s fine.  Just make sure you don’t have more than two goals to focus on.  By focusing your attention on fewer goals, you’ll be able to measure your progress and results.

Do you want more social camaraderie?

Do you want to appear more professional?

Do you want to be more effective or respected?

Do you want to be more supportive of others in your life?

Do you want to be more enticing or glamorous?

Do you want to be more imaginative?

Do you want to be more powerful or influential?

The mindfulness paid to these questions, if you allow the process to work, can have an amazing influence on your personal image development.  Everything from that hairstyle to the clothes you wear – their fabrics, fits, textures, structures, and colors – to the way you carry yourself can be impacted.  So if you send me an email with your answers and a recent photo, I’ll set up a brief phone session to give you some pointers to think about.  It’s a starting point, and it’s my gift to you.

Designing and managing your image is the secret science of your success.
